New headsets from Microsoft and Sony are getting a second look this year at E4 2018.
The two big announcements were Microsoft’s $400 Xbox One and Sony’s $300 PlayStation 4 wireless controllers, and both are set to hit stores in the coming weeks.
As for the headsets, Microsoft’s new Xbox One will be priced at $399.
The new Xbox and PlayStation 4 controllers will cost $100, and the new Xbox Wireless Controller will cost an additional $100.
The two headsets are currently on sale in the United States.
Microsoft’s new console, known as the Xbox One S, is set to be unveiled at E2 2018, with the console hitting stores in March.
Sony’s PlayStation 4 will be revealed at E6 2018, and a wireless controller for the Xbox S will be announced at Gamescom 2018.
Microsoft has already announced that the Xbox and PS4 will be available for purchase in the U.S. for $399 and $299, respectively, starting at April 1.
Sony will be releasing the PlayStation 4 Pro at a price of $399 in the US and $349 in Europe.
The Xbox One is set for a limited time in the first half of 2019.
A new $299 headset will be released for E4 2019.
The PlayStation 4, meanwhile, will be out in the second half of 2018.
The Xbox One X will be the first console to ship with 4K streaming and 4K Ultra HD content.
Both the Xbox Live and Xbox app are also set to launch in 2019.
Microsoft and Sony have yet to announce plans for new controllers.
Microsoft announced the Xbox Pro Wireless Controller earlier this year, but it is yet to be announced if the controller will also come in the $300, $100 and $100 configurations.
