Sony, which announced its PlayStation VR headset on Friday, plans to launch the headset on PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR Pro and the Xbox One by the end of the year, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The console maker plans to offer a PSVR headset to consumers starting in the first quarter of 2018, and by 2019 it will also offer the headset to retailers.
The PlayStation VR, which costs $399 and works with PlayStation Move controllers, was initially announced in September and is expected to be launched sometime in the second quarter of 2019.
Microsoft, meanwhile, plans on releasing its own version of the Xbox game console sometime this year.
In a separate report, Bloomberg said Microsoft will announce a “major announcement” at CES next week that will include the new Xbox, Xbox Music and Xbox Movies apps, and will be accompanied by a preview of the first Xbox One.
