By Laura B. Nelson, Bloomberg View and David Hager The Samsung smart phone headset that Samsung has been developing since last year is starting to make its debut in retail stores in the United States.
The Samsung VR headset, which launched in October, is designed to take your virtual reality experience to a whole new level.
The headset has a 5.7-inch OLED display that has a resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels.
That is far higher than most smartphone displays and the Samsung is working with DisplayMate to build a VR headset that uses the same OLED display.
It’s a display that is expected to work with smartphones, tablets and other devices with a higher resolution, but Samsung says that the headset will also be compatible with its own smart phones, like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6.
Samsung said it has already tested the headset in the company’s own stores.
The Gear VR was launched as the Samsung Gear for Windows 10 phones in November, but it was released in the Gear VR headset for Android devices as well.
The new Samsung Gear headset is available now in select retail stores for $199 and is expected for the first wave of retail sales on December 9.
The company has not announced a date for when it will be available at the retail level.
While Samsung is already selling the Gear virtual reality headsets for its own smartphone line, it has been working on a VR device that is compatible with Samsung devices.
In fact, the company said last year that it would be working with Samsung to develop a VR gaming headset that could work with other smartphone makers, like HTC and Sony.
Samsung’s VR headset is designed for gamers to have a more immersive experience in the virtual world, as opposed to a more standard experience with a gaming controller.
In its announcement on Friday, Samsung said that it was working with a number of different developers and companies to deliver VR gaming experiences for consumers in the future.
It said that the company had already started working with companies that are “in the game” with VR gaming.
Samsung also said that Samsung VR Gear VR headsets would work with Samsung smartphones.
For example, Samsung announced plans to bring Samsung GearVR headsets to select Samsung Galaxy phones starting in the second half of 2018.
Samsung did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
